Dungeons of Langeais is a Hush, Hush short story included in the Kiss Me Deadly: 13 Tales of Paranormal Love anthology.
Description[]
Dungeons of Langeais goes back 300 years before the events of Hush, Hush and to the ever-suffering Chauncey. In this story, Fitzpatrick elaborates on Chauncey's character and gives us a sample of what his life was really like and explains in-depth what is like when an angel takes possession of a human body.
Although arrogant, selfish, and extremely headstrong, Chauncey definitely has a lot of guts going up against Patch, and he schemes and plots to outmaneuver Parch.
In this tale, a (very small) part of Patch's past is finally revealed - a past as dark as Becca had promised. One that does not disappoint. Chauncey's thirst for revenge is already impressive at just two centuries old, but unfortunately for him - and fortunately for Patch - he ends up being the butt of jokes. Patch appears as a manipulative, calculating, cruel and violent character, his behavior is slightly toned down in the Hush, Hush saga.
